One of the best player's as his position, defensive end Michael Strahan has decided to retire from football.
Although unable to get ahold of any Giant personnel, Strahan left a message to inform them of his decision before going public
about it. A classy move from a classy guy.
Strahan had this to say when he talked to FoxSports.com. ""It was important that my teammates knew which way
I was going before they got on the field to start the work to defend our title. It's time. I'm done."
Strahan leaves the game 5th on the all-time sack list, with 141.5 QB crunches. He is the current holder of
the record for most sacks in a single season with 22.5 in 2001. Ironically his final sack that season, which gave him the
record, was on Brett Favre, who retired earlier this year.
This was truly a great career from a great player. By: Alex Kozora
