Strahan Retires on Top

One of the best player's as his position, defensive end Michael Strahan has decided to retire from football. Although unable to get ahold of any Giant personnel, Strahan left a message to inform them of his decision before going public about it. A classy move from a classy guy.

Strahan had this to say when he talked to FoxSports.com. ""It was important that my teammates knew which way I was going before they got on the field to start the work to defend our title. It's time. I'm done."

Strahan leaves the game 5th on the all-time sack list, with 141.5 QB crunches. He is the current holder of the record for most sacks in a single season with 22.5 in 2001. Ironically his final sack that season, which gave him the record, was on Brett Favre, who retired earlier this year.
